Support the Future of Cannabis in Kentucky
The decisions made in Frankfort will determine whether our medical program flourishes or falls behind. KY Canna PAC is the political arm of the movement, dedicated to supporting candidates—regardless of party—who stand for a safe, accessible, and economically vibrant cannabis industry.
 

Why Give to KY Canna PAC?

While the Kentucky Cannabis Industry Association (KCIA) handles education and industry standards, the PAC ensures that cannabis-friendly voices have the resources to win their elections. Your contribution directly supports:

  • Targeted Candidate Support: Providing financial backing to lawmakers who have proven they will protect the Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program.

  • Legislative Advocacy: Ensuring our industry has a seat at the table when tax structures, licensing rules, and patient rights are debated.

  • Fighting Stigma: Funding outreach that corrects misinformation among state and local officials.

 

Contribution Tiers

  • Advocate Circle: $500/year

  • Commonwealth Club: $1000/year

  • Founder’s Circle: $2,200/year (Maximum individual contribution per year)

The above tiers are merely suggestions of contribution amounts which may be given to KY Canna PAC, and more or less (consistent with applicable maximum contribution amounts) may be given to support the committee’s efforts. All donations are appreciated, and neither the amount given, nor a refusal to give, will benefit or disadvantage any KCIA member and/or industry supporter.

Important Compliance Information: To comply with Kentucky Registry of Election Finance (KREF) laws, we are required to collect the following information for all contributions.

  • Name & Full Address

  • Occupation & Employer (Required for aggregate contributions over $100)

  • Contribution Limits: Individuals and Permanent Committees (PACs) may contribute up to $2,200 per candidate, per election year.

  • Prohibited Funds: We cannot accept contributions from any type of company, including corporations, LLCs, or and labor unions. All contributions must be made from personal funds, unless made from another political committee.

 Individuals who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents (i.e. green card holders), as well as PACs, Executive and Caucus Campaign Committees, may contribute up to $2,200 per year. Corporations (including all business types such as limited liability companies, partnerships, non-profit corporations, S- corporations, joint stock companies, unions, and associations) are prohibited from donating to KY Canna PAC. Contributions to the PAC are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. KY Canna PAC may not accept anonymous contributions in excess of $100 per contributor, per election.
